International & National Flags
Modern materials combined with traditional production methods makes sure that we offer un-beatable durability and colourfastness.
We can supply National Flags for all nations of the world, and hold the vast majority in stock in 10 sizes. International and National Flags can vary in proportion and shape normally when several flags are flown together and they are made to co-ordinate with the national flag of the host country. Therefore in the UK we supply flags to match the Union Jack in 2:1 proportion, however other proportions are available on request. If you are buying national flags for use in another country please ask us for advice about the recommendations in the nation required.

International and national flags can be supplied in all shapes and sizes. Digitally printed flags are straight forward to price as we just need to know the size and quantity required. For handmade sewn and appliquéd flags we will need to know the design you require as the complexity will obviously affect the price.
National flags of the UK and all international flags are produced from MOD Grade Woven Polyester which has been tested and approved by the British Armed Forces. For ease of pricing all national flags are graded according to complexity and given a price code. You simply pick the code and size you require from our price list which is available upon request.

Just let us know the nation and size you require. For a number of the most popular nations we offer dye printed flags as an economic but quality alternative.
Sizing of International and National Flags
It is important to ensure that the flag matches the pole it is to be flown from as a small flag on a large pole will look odd (and vice versa of course).
When a flag is to be flown from a pole mounted in the ground then the rule of thumb is that the long edge of the flag should be 25% of the height of the flagpole, so if you have an 8m pole the flag should be 2m x 1m. When a flag is flown from a pole mounted on a building the extra height given by the building should be considered. There is no exact rule but we would suggest and extra 1/2m of flag for every storey of the building. However, excessively large flags can place extra strain on the flagpole. Please check your flagpole is in good order before flying a large flag.
Our maintenance team can perform these checks if required. Please contact us for further details.
National Flag Protocol
Flag protocol can be a complex issue however these simple guidelines will ensure you have the basics correct. When two or more national flags are flown, the flag of the home nation should be on the ‘Senior’ Pole.
This is either the tallest pole, or if all poles are the same height, then the left hand pole when viewed from facing a building. Other national flags should then be flown in alphabetical order, followed by any Company or club flags.
